Blue Monday Socks!
Widdershins (plain version) from Knitty
Lorna's Laces Sportweight in Denim.

I followed the pattern and made mods at the ankles, as they are a bit on the skinny side! As you can see, they fit! :)
Used US 3's for all but the cuff ribbing was done with US 2's. My 2nd pair of toe ups and first pair with reverse heel flap and 2 socks at one time on 2 circulars.

2nd Toe up socks.

I started my second pair of Toe Up socks yesterday using the Anastasia pattern by Pepperknit. This pattern has been in my "To Do" que since I finished my first pair of socks last year.
Sorry for the not so great photo. I'm still trying to learn how to use my new camera.

I've already discovered a major error I made on the top of the left foot. So I'll be frogging and re-doing it later tonight (maybe). Sometimes errors can be cute too!

Another pair of...

Cascade Fixation Ankle socks
Mom's Fixation Ankle socks
Fixation 8001
US 3 dpns for ribbing
US 4 circs for foot
In white (which I thought was my MIL's favorite sock color, but since have found she's game for any colors!! Good thing as I have quite a bit of this!) She's actually wearing them today and likes them. Custom made for her as she is a diabetic and has had a few ankle surgeries so the stretchiness of these are perfect for her!!

They are a late Christmas gift, so glad they are done, knitting with white..well, not the most fun! ;)

FO: socks for Kris and Josh

I promised Kris and Josh (family friends) each a pair of socks last year around august. I only got to knitting them in december! The card is washing instructions and a quick how-d'ya-do note.

Socks Stats:
Yarn: Trekking XXL
Needles: US 2 dpns
Construction: 2x2 rib for 2", St. st. legs, foot, and toe, short row toe (both socks), wedge toe (blue socks), 5-star toe (var. socks). I made these socks match exactly. I matched the color repeats and joined the yarn using a Russian Join. Fun fun!
I hope they love these socks and I hope they ask for more! They like simple socks, but the don't mind if I experiment. I like that. :)

Anastasia Socks

I knit a pair of Anastasia Socks in Koigu KPPM. I started them in August, but finally finished them last night. There are more details and pictures on my blog.

If you are looking for a pattern that works well with variegated yarn, but still has some interest this is a good one to try. It is available from Pepperknit Patterns.
