One Down

Okay, I've got the first of my River Rapids socks done. I've got another project that takes priority before I cast on for the second, but it shouldn't take me more than a week. No Second Sock Syndrome allowed here ... these are going to be a gift!

I've grown accustomed to seeing bright, wild colors in hand-knitted socks, so these seem a bit tame. Rather elegant though -- the solid fawn color really shows the pattern well, and they'll go with everything!

Lovely cozy-looking socks. It's the perfect brown.

Update: I to get rid of the progress bars. They were kind of driving me crazy. I couldn't keep them up to date at all. Sorry.

SB, I found the progress bars more annoying than entertaining anyway. Good call. :)

I like the solid color with this pattern. I think the painted yarns often obscure the pattern to the point that they all begin to look alike.
